Joe Danger Special Edition

I'll start off simple: Joe Danger is a great game.

So in Joe Danger you play as Joe Danger, an Evel Knievel analog that is making a big comeback after a career halting injury. The game is presented in a fun and extremely good looking cartoon aesthetic that goes a long way to enhance the zany stunts you will be doing.

The gameplay is like a love-child from Excite Bike and Trials HD. You go through a crazy track that offers all kinds of stunts and trick ramps. All the while having different goals and objectives to strive for during each run. Collect all the stars, time trials, hitting specific targets and racing other A.I. controlled rivals are all in there.

I found the gameplay to be really accessible and had just the right amount of challenge. There were some objectives that took plenty of play throughs but I felt good once I finally got the timing for the track down. This is why I view this game as being superior to the Trials HD games in the Arcade. Joe Danger never feels punishing. It feels like a smooth curve of difficulty.

You have the campaign mode, Lab Mode (extra difficult tracks), a track creation mode (where you can share your tracks with XBL Friends) and a Multiplayer Mode (which regrettably I was unable to try out as of writing). Needless to say there is a lot of play to be had and all of it quite fun.

I could honestly say that Joe Danger SE is worth having in any XBLA collection.
