The serious sam series is just a fun group of games. it's so outrageous, walking sharks and so on.. I mean, damn. Sure, the game doesn't have the best story, but it doesn't need to. it brings the emphasis on the gameplay, which many modern games do not.

This is definetly A Battlefield Lite game. However, the game plays, looks and sounds good even if it only has 4 maps. Three of them being regular "capture the control point" gametype and one of them being a a surprise: a dog fight game type called "air superiority".

I bought the game about three days ago, haven't regretted it. The maps are balanced, and so are the classes. However I have to say that the sniper class is so bad that it's almost useless. The majority of the kills you get with it are when an enemy is stationary or when yopu use your C4 to set up traps, kinda disappointed with that aspect.

The game uses the same engine as the first bad company, and it shows. Buildings suffer damage, and the lighting is superb. The water even looks realistic, as you can see the blue and green hues of the beaches and ocean and from where the sun hits it.
The controls definitely take a while to get used to though. Where BF1943 has excellent graphics, sound, and the core battlefield gameplay, the controls are rather cumbersome.

Unlike the call of duty games where it's one button click.. the melee action here requires you to equip and unequip it. And it took me a while to figure out how to activate your parachute as it says nowhere in the game how to do it (it's "hold A" by the way). There are many other small annoyances, but the gam,e is fun, so you have to just ignore it all or get used to it. Which isn't a hard thing to do, but still it would be nice if hose little things were different. I guess it doesn't help that there are about 4 control combinations for the planes, cars, tanks, and stationary guns you'll be using.. It all comes in time though, and the game is a great time.

The achievements are easy, but the game demands you play it for a while though, as the last two ones you'll get (play 30&100 matches) require that. So listen to it! The game is great and it shouldn't require too much of you to do it. It's just a great (if lite) BF experience.

I can't really understand all the hate... This is an old game, and it's very fun to play in short bursts.

Robotron is an ancient twin stick shooter. You go through the levels and pick up humans for points, while killing all enemies in the level to advance to the next one. I keep dying by level 7, so either I'm not good, or this game is f*cking hard. I think it's the latter.

Shooting takes place in 8 directions, so you better get used to not have 100% precision in this game. It adds to the challenge of the game, and even makes it better for it(?).

The game has multiplayer and co-op, no local though that I remember. It is possible to get a game set-up also, I think I noticed around 5 people on around 7:00 pm on a friday. So, uh, keep trying if you haven't gotten a match up ;-) It's really fun. Or just invite your friends, they probably got the game as an xbox live pack-in also.

The game, in my opinion, is really fun to play in short bursts. Nothing I would spend 3 hours at a time on though. And hey, this is gaming history.

There is a lot to do in bionic commando rearmed.
From the towering main campaign, to the challenge rooms in MP, this game is hardcore at it's finest.

Through the campaign you'll notice a couple things:
1. The music is awesome
2. This looks really good for an XBLA game
3. I have gotten really good at swinging around..

And this is all true. At first the game seemed really hard for me, but you'll eventually get into the swing of things (haha), and also you'll get new weapons along the way that make the game alot easier on you. Especially when you get to the bosses in the 8 or so levels. Use the right weapon.. and they're going down easy.

In the levels, there are also computer terminals that give you more information on the situation at hand, and if you hack them, you get secret information from the enemy, which can give you critical hints at what the bosses strengths and weaknesses are.

You'll be pretty good at the game mechanics by the middle of the campaign, but that doesn't stop the game from being difficult, especially by the ending levels. The xbox 360 D-pad doesn't help either. I know you can use the analogue stick also.. But that way didn't feel right to me. That's just not how you play bionic commando to me. The D-pad, as much as it sucks, is the much better option. I would just try to get used to it. It was a good thing the devs made your claw automatically shoot forward-up, as it would make the game unplayable. Another good design choice, which as makes the game more enjoyable over the original.

This all works very well, but the developers didn't stop at just making a good game, they also went ahead and added nice visuals and music that matches the atmosphere of it all in the right ways.
After you beat the campaign there are a couple things you can do such as: beating the game again on a harder mode, playing co-op/local multiplayer, trying to beat all of the challenge rooms (around 60, I think), and just gunning to get all of the achievements. And yes, they are hard as well.

All in all, This game is a well rounded XBLA title. One of the best , I think.

I've kind of given up on XNA games. I only download the interesting ones, and not everything like I used to.

This game had some promise.. I was hoping for a multiplayer version of time pilot, but this is not it. The plane are ghastly slow, the weapons almost shoot as slow, and there is no depth at all, besides pressing X to do a backflip (maybe it wasn't X, I forget)
Visuals look okay, music isn't ok.
This might be funner with other people though. Download if you are interested, keep your expectations low though.

I liked the squad based gameplay, although I wish there was more you could do. The style was ok, and the 3 modes for your ship make for a deeper level of strategy. The game does need more to differentiate itself from the overinflated stick shooter genre in the XBLA and community games library though.

I don't know how any person who still has sight can play this, I mean, we are so used to finding things through sight. I guess if you have been seeing a screen of black all your life though, and have a surround sound system, go ahead. But this game is for a niche audience.

This game is just a lame top down shooter that uses the battlestar galactica name. Although, sometimes you can forgive how many faults it has sometimes, just because it uses that name. A "so bad it's good" type of game?

Anyway, it felt way to much like wing commander: arena. That's not good.

This game is better than most XBLA games. It is so stylishly, and it's gameplay so unique for the xbox 360 to the point where you want to say "why hasn't this been done before?"
Each character definitely plays unique, Xerxes has a freakin' jet engine as a gun, while Constance uses a knife launcher!
The grapple feature adds alot of depth, especially when you already consider the fact that each character has their own unique weapon, bonuses, and secondary fire!
Also, the brush with death feature is great for me, because I hate dying over little things, so it gives me a second.. or third, chance.
At least try the trial! This is the best community game out! (so far)

I know what everybody else has said: the game is very casual, and easy to pick up. But sometimes a line can be crossed, either too complicated and jumbled up, or too simple and "gets old fast". This game is definitely in the former. You are a fish in this game... you move around and try to eat other fish...... Until you grow bigger. That's it.

Luxor is a good puzzle game. Basically, you shoot colored orbs into a line of colored orbs, matching three or more so the line disappears. You have a lot of game modes in this game, like endurance and the level modes. I like the visuals, simple, but good looking. The game play is simple, and fun to get into.

Overall, the game is one of the most underrated games on the XBLA. Give this game a look.

Well, I got Fable 2 Pub games because I pre-ordered Fable 2. So, I got the game free, basically. And I like it. In fact, I have spent many hours playing Fortune's Tower and Keystone. While spinnerbox.... is just luck. It's a slot machine. That's it.
Keystone and fortunes tower are very fun, especially in tournament play, which can sometimes save you from getting into massive amounts of debt because you don't lose alot of money and if you place in the top 5 gamblers, you get a cash prize. Not to mention it is also alot of fun.
Keystone requires a bit of strategy, as does Fortunes tower. The game lets you unlock concept art, and get unique fable 2 items for your game, besides just earning gold which has been the main selling point. The game lets you bet more the better you get, so you don't bid 5 million gold when you have no idea what to do, and also the rewards increase the more you play.
I think the game is good for what it is: nice hype for Fable 2.
(and not a bad gambling game in it's own right)

Undertow is about large 16 player battles.
That sounds cool right? Well don't let the pretty graphics, nice sound, and excellent atmosphere fool you, the game play is shallow. Basically, flick the right analog stick in the direction you want to shoot, and drop mines. The only strategy comes when you select a class of soldier to be

(a slow battleship that shoots large rockets, a faster and smaller unit than spams small rockets, another unit that specializes is rapid fire, but only for close range, and a diver, which is the fastest unit, but also dies easily and has a weak weapon with medium range.)

The campaign is dominated by stupid cutscenes and even worse ally A.I.
The multiplayer is abandoned by now.
The game is just "eh". Alright for it's time when it was free.

Time Pilot is a great shooter, but today it just seems dated against other shooters. I liked the frantic action in the game, but the turning of the ship feels weird today

( you can only move in certain degree's, 12 o'clock, 2 o'clock, 3 o'clock, 5 o'clock, 6 o'clock, 8 o'clock, 9 o'clock, 11 o'clock)

I know it was how it was back in the day, but today it truely feels annoying.
The game isn't ruined because of it though, the game is a solid shooter, great enemies, and bosses.
I really think the game ramps up in difficulty though after the first couple levels.

Well, I like Catan, that's why I bought the XBLA game.
The game has online multiplayer, that is VERY, VERY laggy. So laggy it is unplayable online.
And since Catan is best played with more than one person, it is sad this game doesn't support local co-op.
Since some matches can last multiple hours, the game becomes slightly repetitive without playing with other real people.
The game does deliver a fun Catan experience. However, only expect to like playing in short bursts, or use the game as practice for when you play real Catan.

Uno is a great card game, but the video game might even be better.
So.. this is basically the Uno card game with built in friends, and downloadable new theme decks, including a free 35th anniversary card deck. These decks add new cards to the game, and also a new atmosphere.

I didn't like the first Hexic... I only liked the marathon mode for the original.... but i got the sequel for free.
The Hexic series still doesn't hold my attention for long.

But I will however give credit where credit is due, Hexic 2 adds alot of better/more entertaining game modes, and a different, more sophisticated visual style from the first, although many fans may dislike it from the old style.
My favorite mode? Probably the marathon mode still probably.

Yep, I paid 800 MS points for this game, just a month before the price was reduced :-(

The game isn't bad though.
It looks great, the bullets of the machine gun and cannon, flames of the flamethrower, and little explosions and rockets look great. Enemies also look very cool with lots of variety, from little soldiers, to the giant sea dwelling crab robot boss.
Co-op is fun, and the game has enough levels to keep you entertained for a while (17 or 18 I think). And to change up the pace, some levels are exclusively on water, and on foot, besides just being on land in your vehicle. There a secret bonus areas, and some fun, giant boss battles. In addition to your upgradeable flamethrower, cannon, and machine gun, you also get grenades and a screen clearing attack that comes standard with any shooter game. Another cool feature is that after your vehicle is destroyed, you get one last chance to stay alive as a little on foot soldier, who shoots tiny bullets.
The game is just satisfying as you watch your enemies fall around you. If you like shooters, and are looking for a cool diversion, this is definitely it. With so much diversity in one XBLA game, everyone is bound to have a favorite moment.

Well, Yaris isn't good.

It's ugly
It's repetitive
It's boring
It's annoying
It's insulting
It's satanic
It's got stupid achievements
It's weird
It is probably the worst game on the XBLA.

The game is SO bad, that it probably hurt sales of the Toyota Yaris, since it is false advertising. I mean, if I see a mechanical claw coming out of my car in the game that is able to shoot things, I expect it in my real yaris! If you play the game for more than 5 minutes, you will hesitate to touch your xbox360 controller again for awhile because of the pure (lack of a better word) that is Yaris.

Seriously, even online play stinks. Only play if you want to get the first couple easy achievements.

But enough about me insulting the game itself, on to the description.
Yaris is an on-rails shooter, where your Yaris car with the arm growing out of the hood is able to shoot different enemies like flying toasters and garbage trucks. All the while you avoid hazards that deplete your shield and you collect speed boosters to help you finish the course, which is a couple to several laps, instead of one giant level.

Well, I didn't grow up in the 80's, so I don't have any nostalgia about how good Frogger used to be. I actually got this game free with that crappy MadCatz Arcade Stick (which was on sale for 10$) and I will admit, Frogger is a very Casual game, but in a good way.

I have been very tired lately because I have had mono, which I have no idea how I got, so I don't have alot of energy to cope with the frusteration that is Dead Rising and Halo 3's multiplayer. And, well, Frogger is always there! Just start it up, and it loads quickly. Now, the game might not be as addictive as some other games, but you will be working to get the several achievements, such as just finishing levels 1,2,3,4,5, and finishing a level without going under 45 seconds left.

The game is simplistic, Frogger, your froggy frog of a character, leaps past traffic, then on logs and lily pads to get across to his home. Along the way you will get score boosters such as rescuing female frogs, and eating bugs. Also in the later levels you will have to dodge snakes, alligators, and other hazards.

There is Multiplayer, but you rarely get anybody else online, unless you wait for a long, long time, or you know a friend who also has frogger.

In fact, the only real qualms I have with the game are
the problems that the D-Pad isn't good, (but the game is not broken because of it) And The price. Whereas I got it for free, I don't know if I would have paid $5 for the game, actually, in fact, I know I wouldn't have. But trust me, the game is fun. I don't know if this is an inferior port or not, but I like it because it is fun is short bursts. I guess it all depends on how good you (still) like frogger, or how much the game grows on you over time.

At first when you play this game by yourself you'll hate it because it seems like a bland side scrolling shooter. When you connect online after a session or two of disapointing single player play, you'll be suprised that there's alot more to the game than meets the eye.

The game is good looking, especially when you go by some big buildings and such, but the graphics are also not ground breaking. Everything is rendered in 3D, unlike some other shooters on xbox live arcade.
When you play this game with 2 or 3 other people the game really shines, especially online, like i've said before. You can attach to another player and shoot in any direction. All four players can attach to eachother to create a supership. Also, when the ships attach to eachother, the powerups become more powerful, but it becomes more difficult to dodge the enemies' shots as your ship is bigger and slower. This element adds alot of strategy; do you want to go 2 and 2? or 1,3? or how about the supership of 4? of course you can de- and re- attach on the fly.

There are several powerups, like a shield that deflects all enemy fire, a laser, disrupter (makes all shots disapear and enemies become disabled with area) and missles. I think there are more, but that's all I remember.

There are 2 difficulty modes: normal & insane. Normal is good for 2-3 players and insane is good for 4 players. You can play the game by yourself, but it loses all of its' fun and strategy.

You get a certain amount of lives in the single player game, but when you play multiplayer, your partners collect lives if you die so you get to play again.
The music conveys danger and the story is filler. The boss fights are good, each needing a different strategy, but all of them are similar in a way.
Overall the game is short, but you will keep wanting to play through the 2 hour story mode online to get higher and higher scores on the leaderboard.

The game is just plain fun to play with friends, or even with people you don't know :)
