Something of an underrated gem of the Indie Store, Paipa is a bears more of a resemblence to Bejeweled than the PipeMania you may expect.

the player is presented with a grid of pipe shapes and is tasked with making a connection of pipes from right to left by rotating clockwise or anticlockwise. When a line is complete points are awarded for each section used and they all disappear. The gap left behind is filled from pipes falling from above.

Be quick though as the water pressure increases over time and the engine room is flooding, the rising water level on screen begins to create a panic as your try to keep it at bay but keep trying to make longer chains of pipes to boost your score.

As the game progresses some pipes will require a little extra attention before they can be spun into position. Some require hammering and other oiling, these actions are all taken care of with a little application of the right thumb stick.

Music is absent from the main game itself which is a bit of a shame as a suitable old school period score could have really added to the ambiance but no music is better than an annoying ditty on a loop i guess.

Paipa deserves to be played, like so many Indie games it has been lost in the shuffle and must be rediscovered.
